Spousal Abuse PDF Print

Domestic Violence can happen to anyone, irrespective of the age, sex, financial status or education of the parties involved.  There may be both verbal threats and physical violence.  The violence may be followed by requests for forgiveness.  Often, the perpetrator will attempt to control their victim’s access to friends, family and/or finances.  They may attempt to erode your self-confidence or convince you that help is unavailable, or you are unworthy of help.  Many times, domestic violence goes on for years before the victim tells anyone about it.

Besides requesting the court to order the perpetrator out of the house, while continuing to pay the household bills, spousal support, and/or child support, we can also help secure a Personal Protection Order.
